WomenInWeb3 Summit

Vancouver, March 27-28th, 2023.

Our CTO, Alisa Pushnova, has visited the WomenInWeb3 Summit. This event aimed to demonstrate that Web3 is an industry for all, but especially women, while highlighting local Vancouver talent working in a variety of areas. The event featured the international speaker Megan Nilsson and such local speakers as Katreena Tecson and Ashley Smith. Together, this group of women has a diverse skillset emblematic of the array of possibilities available in Web3 and were able to share insights on the local community as well as Vancouver’s role on the international stage. For those in attendance, the summit was a place for networking, idea sharing and gaining insight from those on the forefront. In addition, visiting this event on Women’s History Month felt even more powerful and inspiring.


July Women Founder Meetup

One of the Meet-the-Need team members, Alisa, personally joined the @UBC Entrepreneurship community for the newly redesigned Women Founders Meeting on Thursday, July 20th. The purpose of this meeting was to bring together the venture capital community with the broader ecosystem to foster new relationships and celebrate the work done through entrepreneurship.

Alisa Pushnova engaged in informal conversations with representatives from the ecosystem, including women and non-binary founders, executives, leaders, and mentors who are part of Entrepreneurship@UBC.

Entrepreneurship@UBC offers a range of resources, networks, and funding opportunities to support University of British Columbia students, researchers, faculty, alumni, and staff in their entrepreneurial endeavors.
